about

ONOMI is a project by Gustaf Lundh (also known as Fiktion). ONOMI is meant to be a more experimental and more purely electronic endeavour. While Fiktion has recently incorporated lyrics and narratives, ONOMI is all instrumental.

KERNEL is ONOMI’s first full length album, showcasing Lundh’s love for organs and 80’s videogame sounds. KERNEL is teeming with full-body organ sounds of warmth and depth, 8-bit chirps and crystal clear melodies. Lundh also wants to emphasize the value of crackle, noise and grit:

I am fascinated by the mucky and unpolished, says Lundh. In the natural world nothing is really clean, and I like to have that gritty quality to my music.

ONOMI Sweden

Experimental and purely electronic music endeavour, anno 2008, by Gustaf Lundh.

While FIKTION has been exploring acoustics and incorporated lyrics / narratives, ONOMI is on the other hand all instrumental and with an electronic foundation. Mixed elements of classical counterpoint and electro-acoustic composition. Rough electronic soundscapes, sometimes reminiscent of videogame music. ... more
